There are several places throughout Colorado that have problems with asbestos exposure, one of them being Colorado Springs. Besides exposure at jobsites, the state of Colorado also has naturally occurring asbestos throughout the mountains.
Its great to find that the chart only displays Colorado Springs and the surrounding counties, not the entire state of Colorado.
Before 1998, mesothelioma was not considered a separate cause of death, thus actual numbers may be higher than they appear on this chart. Deaths caused by asbestos exposure that are not related to mesothelioma and asbestosis are not included in this chart.
